Clifton College Christmas Fair December 2007

At the beginning of December, Clifton College hosted a Christmas Fair in aid of two charities - Caring@Christmas and Opportunity International, raising an impressive £1,200, which is to be split between the two. Well done to everyone for their generosity and support - and thank you to everyone who came to see us and bought something (and to Louise for the mulled wine)!

North Bristol Art Trail 2007 November 2007

The 2007 North Bristol Art Trail took place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th November. The trail involved over 100 artists in around 40 venues all over North Bristol opening their homes to the public, with the opportunity to view (and buy) a wide range of home-grown arts and crafts. This was my first trail and my venue was the home of sculptor, painter and NBA veteran, Isobel Golt Morris, with whom I, and painter Dawn Thomson, showed our work. The trail was well-attended on both days, with visitors flowing through Isobel's lovely St Andrews home, enjoying the colour and variety of the exhibits, snapping up any pieces they were particularly taken with. It was a happy, relaxed event and we'd like to thank everyone who braved the cool temperatures to come and support the trail. Look forward to seeing you next year!

Room 212 - it's all over! September 2007

Thank you to everyone who came along to my first exhibition of fused glass jewellery, at Room 212 on Gloucester Road. Kate, Suzy and I thoroughly enjoyed the week and we're all sad it's over! I hope you enjoyed it and are happy with your purchases - I appreciate the support and all the feedback - keep in touch with all your comments and suggestions and to those of you who placed orders, I'll be getting onto it in the next couple of days and will be in touch when they're ready. I would also like to thank reflexologist Claire Collins for joining us on Friday for the 'World's Biggest Coffee Morning' in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support. Claire's reflexology sessions, my cakes and Suzy's charm helped to raise £51.37 for Macmillan - thank you for your generosity!
