Fired Up Jewellery is the home of contemporary hand-crafted jewellery made by Bristol maker, Joanna Young (née Preston), using fused dichroic glass and Precious Metal Clay (PMC). As each piece is individually handmade, it is totally unique and almost impossible to repeat. All findings are solid sterling silver or 18k gold-plated unless otherwise stated - and fired PMC is fine (pure) silver. What's happening next? December 2008 Back to earth with a bump after a brilliant Art Trail this weekend (28-30 November). I had a lovely time at Isobel's house (what a lovely venue) with Dawn Thomson, Linda Brogan and, our host, Isobel Golt Morris. The weather was perfectly crisp, cold and dry which brought a lot of people (and fleece-wrapped babies!) to venue 35. We enjoyed meeting everyone and having some interesting conversations, as well as parting with some of our creations! I hope all my customers are really pleased with their purchases - if you wish you'd bought something you saw, please get in touch. I've also just joined a new website created by Clevedon-based web developer, crafter and mother Emma Hogg, called 'Make It, Sell It' - I'll be adding more pieces throughout December, so take a look - and if you make something you want to sell, sign up! On a final note, thank you to everyone who came to the Art Trail - it wouldn't be any fun without you!
